Ocean
View holiday accommodation comprises two adjoining
townhouses located
on beautiful Stockton Beach, two
kilometres from the heart of Newcastle, New South
Wales, Australia. The
thirty kilometre long sandy beach
of Newcastle
Bight stretches
north from the Hunter River entrance
at Stockton, to Port
Stephens. Stockton Beach is located
at the bottom of the famous Hunter Valley, a
renowned wine growing area and a golfer's paradise.
The
complex contains six, 3 bedroom two storey
townhouses with the best ocean views in Newcastle.
The development is a heritage site and comprises four new townhouses
and two renovated heritage properties occupying the 1880s
constructed Ocean View Hotel building. These two
heritage properties (numbers 3 and 4) are ultra-modern while retaining
many heritage features, including the original high
ceilings. They are fully furnished to a high standard
and come ready for holiday lettings by the week, complete with all towels and
linen. Each contains leather lounge suites, stainless
appliances, wide screen televisions, split door refrigerators, ceiling
fans to each bedroom, air conditioning and heating upstairs. The ultra wide
hotel verandahs with
new timber folding doors allow the ultimate in indoor/outdoor
living, right at the beach.
All you
need is your beach towel, swimmers and sunscreen for
the quintessential Aussie beach holiday!

The historic "Ocean View Hotel" was constructed in the 1890s. It now offers ultra-modern holiday accommodation in two, 3 bedroom townhouses.
Beautiful Stockton Beach is just across the road. The beach is patrolled all summer. It also popular for surfing, fishing, windsurfing or parachute surfing.
Wander along the beach or enjoy the view from the balcony at sunrise. Take and evening stroll down along the breakwater or a walk along the river banks to watch the sun set again over the river.
There is an outdoor lounge suite on the balcony which overlooks the beach. The balcony is connected to the indoor living areas through large folding timber doors. The balcony may be open or closed off with sliding, adjustable, aluminium shutters that provide complete control over the weather.
The indoor dining area is spacious with a large timber table that comfortably seats six on leather dining chairs. The gourmet kitchen is well appointed with granite benchtops, stainless steel appliances and even has an espresso coffee machine.
The upstairs lounge area has a leather lounge suite and large plasma television with digital set top box and DVD. It has a gas fireplace for cosy winter atmosphere. The upstairs is also fully air conditioned with a reverse cycle climate control system.
The main bedroom has doors which open to the balcony and a walk in dressing room. There is a queen size bed and television. The upstairs bathroom with spa bath is adjacent.
The upstairs bathroom is very modern with a spa bath and is adjacent to the main bedroom. There is also a separate glassed in shower recess, not shown in this photo.
The outdoor dining area on the balcony overlooks the beach. The table and chairs comfortably seat eight people. There is a stainless steel barbecue on the balcony for relaxed entertaining.
The beach is a stone's throw from the balcony. Go surfing or just enjoy the ocean views and breezes in comfort.
The views and the weather are controlled by Metzen sliding, adjustable, louvre shutters. The balcony provides the perfect outdoor living in all conditions. Relax and watch the large ships entering the Hunter River entrance.
Newcastle Bight stretches 30 kilometres from the Hunter River entrance to Port Stephens. Across the road from the Ocean View is the Stockton Surf Club which is patrolled for swimming all Summer.
The local surf boat carnival is held on the beach each year. The Stockton SLSC surf boat can be seen in this photo.
Parachute surfing is an increasingly popular activity. This photo is from the balcony of the Ocean View. A local business offers lessons and caters for the novice to the expert.

These
unique two story townhouses can be rented exclusively through
the managing agents "Raine and Horne, Stockton" who are located at 49
Mitchell Street Stockton, a five minute walk from The Ocean View. The units accommodate a
maximum of six persons each and no pets are allowed.

Number
Three comprises
three double bedrooms with built in robes (two with queen beds and one with two
single double deck bunk beds), two living areas (upstairs and downstairs), two bathrooms (each
with a full size bath and separate shower),
a gourmet kitchen with granite bench tops
and stainless steel appliances (fully equipped including dishwasher, split door
stainless fridge and all cooking utensils including cutlery,
dishes and linen). The verandah overlooks the beach and a large first
floor deck with covered barbecue and outdoor setting also
overlooks the beach. Both open directly from the upstairs
living/dining area. Downstairs includes a quiet living area
with outlook to the beach and two bedrooms. There is an internal
laundry (with washer and drier) and double garage for your
exclusive use with internal access direct to the ground floor
entry.

Four
comprises three double bedrooms (two with queen beds and one with two
single beds, (one single bed with a full size rollaway trundle bed for
flexibility). All have built in robes. The main bedroom on the first floor opens
onto the balcony with double doors and has a walk in robe. The adjacent
bathroom is fitted with a separate shower, spa bath and toilet. There are two
living areas (one upstairs and one down stairs), a second downstairs bathroom
(with shower and toilet),
a gourmet kitchen with granite bench tops, stainless steel
appliances and pull out pantry (fully equipped including dishwasher, ice
maker fridge and all cooking utensils, cutlery, dishes and
linen). There is an enormous wrap around verandah
overlooking the beach with a stainless steel barbecue, outdoor
dining setting and a cane lounge suite. Downstairs includes an
additional living room with outlook to the beach and two bedrooms.
There is an internal laundry (with washer and drier) and a garage at the rear of the unit for your exclusive use. Unit four is let
by the week from Saturday to Saturday (or by arrangement).
Upstairs
and downstairs, both properties have polished timber floors and the
bedrooms are carpeted for warmth and quiet. They have retained
the high ceilings, some heritage features and ambience. Reverse cycle air
conditioning is provided to the upper floor of both properties
and all bedrooms have opening windows with security insect screens and
ceiling fans. There is an interconnecting door on the upstairs balcony
which can be opened if two families wish to rent the adjoining
